Hall Thorpe wood cut ‘Snow drops and crocus’ produced in 1922, John Hall Thorpe was originally from Australia where his work is most sort after.
He came to London to study art at Goldsmith College in the 1920’s and went on to produce a series of quintessentially English garden flower studies and bucolic landscapes.
This is a very pleasing image and is in excellent condition, signed, as all his images where in pencil in the bottom right corner.
