Royal Copenhagen Knud Kyhn Hippopotamus

He worked at the Royal Copenhagen factory off and on during the 20th century. Studying animal at the zoo his animal figures are very lifelike with many expressive features. The iron rich glaze ‘sung’ is fired once only producing an interesting mottled effect.
