This finish is expertly done by skilled furniture makers cutting back the top surface with a tool called an Adze, which produces a gently undulating surface that is both beautiful and tactile. The octagonal shaped tops are finished with a wax polish and are a very warm golden oak colour.
Made from solid English Oak they are made in the traditional manner that the ‘Mouseman’ workshop always used with no nails or screws, using the old pegged and cleated method of construction.
The tables do not have any makers marks but are definitely the quality of ‘Mouseman’ or any of the other craftsman who followed him, either as direct apprentice’s setting up their own workshops the most famous ones being ‘Rabbitman’ and ‘Lizzard man’
