John Pearson Galleon dish

A fine example of John Pearson’s work.

From the Arts and Craft period he was a designer for William De Morgan, producing pieces in copper and ceramics.

The dish is in very good condition with just one very small flake of blue glaze missing from the side.

See last picture.

The stylized Galleon in full sail is painted on the inside of the dish with a luster glaze depicting the sky.

The under side has his intertwined J and P monogram with a ‘X’ logo
