Hand built in the 1930’s this substantial solid Oak knee hole desk is a fine example of the craftsmanship undertaken by the Brynmawr Furniture Company.
Set up by the Quaker movement during the great depression the Brynmawr Experiment trained men with new skills.
The furniture business being the most successful of all the workshops, even so it only lasted ten years from 1930 to 1940. Therefore Brynmawr pieces are not easy to find on the open market.
