Made by the well respected cabinet maker Arthur Simpson.
This pair of single Beds have been in the same family since they where purchased in 1921 directly from Arthur Simpson’s ‘The Handicrafts Kendal’, a copy of the original receipts was kindly given to us by the family (see photo).
The Mahogany beds each have a hand carved on the flower on the head and foot board, they do have some knocks and scratches consistent with their age. But they are otherwise very sturdy bedsteads.
They have their original chain link platform with wooden frame bases, but these could be converted to more modern slat bases if required.
Measurement’s 3ft wide ( more dimensions to follow.)
