Arthur Romney Green 1872 -1945, was man of many talents, starting his career as a teacher of mathematics , he always had a great love of woodwork.
Inspired by William Morris the great designer and advocate of social reform, he gave up his job to start his own workshop.
Using only traditional methods of construction and hand carved decoration, his pieces are quality antiques that will only increase in value.
One of the three planks that make up the table top has moved ,which can be seen in the last photo, but apart from that the rest is all sound.
